Monika Knoflach

Painter from Innsbruck, Tyrol

About me

Creativity has always been very important to me. I have always been able to experience how creativity enriched my life and literally made it more colorful. Painting in particular enabled me to express myself in my own way. Painting gave me many happy hours.
Furthermore I would like to send a message about humorous, courageous and resilient moments that I went through when creating my art.
Picassos quote “Art washes the dust of everyday life from the soul” is one of my mantras in this context.

What was your artistic journey?

First of all I must say that I am a lifelong learner and still continue to be so.
I started my journey as a child teacher in pre-school, went through various national and European-wide educational steps as a creative trainer, had a deeper dive into the field of NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming) and due to my love for nature I spend most of my free time climbing in the mountains.
Creativity has always played a role in my education. Due to this matter of fact I also founded the studio “Farbenfroh” in Innsbruck and give creativity classes for both Women and Children.

Which Region has impacted your artistic journey most and why?

The mind blowing beauty of Tyrol’s nature has always given me strength and inspiration. This time out in nature has always been a big recharger for my artistic activities. Not only Tirol has influenced me. I love travelling and interacting with other cultures and countries.

The region of Tyrol, Austria

Young contemporary and modern art created by national and international artists: How does that fit together with huge glaciers, spectacular peaks, narrow valleys and an almost incomprehensible, fascinating mountain landscape? In an unexpected and impressive way, Tyrol provides evidence of how the two can be combined radically and conventionally, abstractly and plastically into a harmonious synthes…
