Photographer and Graphic Designer form Pierria, Greece

About me

Since I can remember, I have loved to take pictures. When I was 20 years old, I bought my first analogue camera. Quickly I realized, that through camera’s lens you can notice details, colors or shapes that you probably didn’t before. Every photo is an eternal moment, captured by your hand. I want to document things, but I like to do it from a special point of view.

What was your artistic journey?

I am an autodidact. To photograph I learned on my own. Later, I studied for 3 years in a multi-technical school in Germany and I attended courses like Advertisment, Graphic Design and Photography. In 2007 had a study-summer with my mentor and good friend, Michael von Haugwitz. After I have successfully finished education, I have worked independently as a photographer and graphic designer for several companies.

Which Region has impacted your artistic journey most and why?

I have lived both in Greece and Germany and I have got influenced by both the civilizations. I can say that the strongest and most immediate influence of the dynamic way I chose for my photos, is my little village Alonia, in Pieria, Greece. It’s a sun-flooded place, that represents the very traditional way of Greek living. With the aegean sea on the right and mount Olymp on the left, there is so much to discover.
