Abstract art as key factor in creation

Around 200 years ago, artists used these abstract elements to depict nature and human civilization, in which expression played a leading role. Abstract art appeared in the 19th century.

At that time many artists examined the mechanism of light and visual perception. In the period of Romanticism, the roles of the imagination and the unconscious were emphasized as a key factor in creation. Gradually more and more painters began to accept this freedom offered by the abstract art movement. About five years before World War I, artists such as Robert Delaunay, Wassily Kandinsky, Kazimir Malevich and Vladimir Tatlin were among those who turned to abstract art within their creative process.

Kandinsky was considered the first contemporary artist to focus on abstract art, but this was challenged in the 21st century by the influence of the Swedish artist Hilma Clint.

Reincarnation in the later 20th century

During the First and Second World War, abstract art did not develop due to the totalitarian politics and surrealist movement that came to the fore. After the end of World War II, abstract art began to flourish again from art schools in America called Abstract Expressionism, which seem to have been very influential.

From 1950 onwards, Abstract Art was established and applied by a wide range of artists around the world.

The charm of abstract art is that it can make the viewer think more deeply about the interpretation of the work using his imagination more. Those who accepted its main feature, its non-preferred language, never questioned its value and achievements.
